Tessera is the evidence layer beneath Echo, Kairos and Paradox. It decides what a unit of source is, insists that every quote exists in the lines it cites, and keeps a coverage ledger instead of quietly truncating long files.
Know whether an output covered all analyzed pages or left gaps.
Trust that a quote was copied from the source span, not rewritten by a model.
See that analysis is case-scoped, retention-purged and included in firm export.
The receipt beside each step is an illustrative example of what a reviewer sees, not data from a real case.
Transcripts use whole printed-page units in twenty-page windows that overlap by one page. Units are scoped to the firm, case and record, with raw page context retained.
window 3 · pp. 41–60 · overlap 1Each claim must carry a nonempty quote that occurs inside the selected unit's cited lines. After whitespace matching, the verbatim source span is copied in — not the model's wording.
anchor 41:3–41:9 · verbatimA fresh call sees one claim, its heading and its exact passages. Unsupported claims are omitted; partial support is flagged. Data records whether the check used the same model or a different one.
check: same_modelSections reduce in separate bounded tree steps. A reducer cannot introduce an anchor that was not in its inputs.
reduce L2 · anchors ⊆ inputsMap and reduce results are checkpointed with input and result hashes and model and prompt identity. Interrupted jobs resume valid work instead of starting over.
checkpoint · hash verifiedThe ledger reports analyzed, failed and withheld units, missing page ranges and failed sections. Empty pages are withheld; unknown source totals are refused rather than guessed.
