Step 1: Assemble a Complete Record Set

The chronology is only as good as the records behind it. Missing records mean missing entries, and missing entries can undermine damages claims or create surprises at deposition. Standard practice is to request records from every provider and facility the plaintiff visited in connection with the case — and for a reasonable period before the incident to establish a pre-injury baseline.
